The Detroit Tigers have been playing an exciting brand of baseball over the last two years, and they owe a huge chunk of it to their superstar ace. Last year's reigning American League unanimous Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal — as impossible as it seems — might just be even better right now than he was during last year's campaign.

The Tigers right-hander and defending American League Cy Young award winner became the first pitcher in MLB history to throw a nine-inning, complete-game shutout while striking out at least 13 batters in less than 100 pitches. Skubal’s feat came in a 5-0 win over the Guardians at Detroit’s Comerica Park.
