It has been a really troubling last few days for Shannon Sharpe as his text messages with alleged rape victim has been released on internet.

Shannon Sharpe continues to find himself entangled in sex-related scandals, and the acts are becoming increasingly challenging to ignore. As previously reported by The Root, the NFL veteran is being sued for $50 million for alleged sexual abuse by his former girlfriend while they were in a two-year relationship.

The woman first met Sharpe at a gym in Los Angeles in 2023 when she was 20 and a nearly two-year relationship followed, according to court documents. Sharpe, 56, is accused of raping the woman in October 2024 and again in January, court documents said.
