When the New York Giants drafted Jaxson Dart 25th overall in the 2025 NFL Draft, no one thought he'd play this well this soon. Dart has the athletic tools and accuracy to start in the NFL, but he was deemed a project that would take time to develop.

Count former NFL quarterback turned analyst Robert Griffin III as being very impressed with rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart’s preseason. Griffin, once a “Rookie of the Year” recipient, summed up his thoughts about Dart as being ” for the Giants.

The new-look Jets should be more competitive under first-year head coach Aaron Glenn. The former Detroit Lions defensive coordinator has the energy up in Florham Park, but going into the season with Justin Fields under center means any and all optimism has a ceiling.

If Justin Fields doesn’t work out for the New York Jets, their quarterback of the future may be in next year’s draft.
