A New Orleans inmate who was mistakenly released last month because of a clerical error has been captured in Texas, prison officials said

Following a nearly monthlong search, Khalil Bryan, 30, was found more than 370 miles away at a residence in Texas on Aug. 20, authorities said.

Khalil Bryan, the Orleans Parish jail inmate mistakenly released from the lockup in July, was arrested in a Houston suburb on Wednesday morning after nearly a month on the lam, authorities confirmed. A Crimestoppers tip led to the arrest, Orleans Parish Sheriff Susan Hutson said.
