A single ticket sold in the city of Petal hit the jackpot, winning $10 million after matching all six numbers in the Double Play drawing Monday, Jan. 10, according to Powerball. The lucky player bought the ticket at the Petal Food Mart, beating odds of 1-in-292,201,338 to snag the top prize, the Mississippi Lottery said in a news release.

The winner bought the ticket at a gas station and matched all the numbers and the Powerball to score the largest lottery jackpot in Mississippi.
