Facebook parent company Meta Platforms asked a federal judge on Thursday to throw out the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's case accusing it of an illegal social media monopoly, saying the agency failed to prove its case at a high-stakes antitrust trial.

Meta (META) has filed a motion for judgment to wrap up its antitrust trial, claiming it doesn’t want to spend more of anyone’s time or money. Facebook’s parent company claims that the Federal Trade Commission has not provided any evidence of unlawful monopoly.
