Despite a series win over MLB's top team, Chicago Cubs manager Craig Counsell continues to be questioned for his puzzling lineup decisions on Thursday.

Michael Busch hit a three-run double off Jacob Misiorowski, and the Chicago Cubs beat the Milwaukee Brewers 4-3 for their third consecutive victory over the NL Central leaders.

The Cubs went into the All-Star break tied with the Los Angeles Dodgers for the most runs scored in MLB at 508. Considering Shaw leads the team in home runs and RBI since the break, a strong offense could have turned into a juggernaut.

Despite some noticable offensive woes, Chicago Cubs third baseman Matt Shaw sees some positive in the midst of the negative.

Shaw has a 207 wRC+ since the All-Star break. Only three players with at least 50 plate appearances had a better wRC.

Shaw primarily played shortstop at the University of Maryland, and there were questions about where he would land on defense after the Cubs selected him with the No. 13 pick in last year’s draft.
