Britain's Catherine, Princess of Wales, on Tuesday visited a women's prison to meet ex-offenders and those still serving, as she continues her return to public duties having completed her cancer treatment.

The Princess of Wales has visited a women's prison in Cheshire, where she talked to inmates in a mother and baby unit. On a visit to HMP Styal, in Wilmslow, Catherine was shown a project designed to develop strong and healthy relationships between mothers and babies "even in the most challenging of environments".

The Princess of Wales was initially met with a four-word chant when she visited a women's prison in Cheshire this week. Kate travelled to HMP Styal to meet ex-offenders and those still serving who have received support from a mother and baby unit run by the charity Action for Children, which the princess represents as royal patron.

Kate, 43, was met with a cat calls and a wolf whistle as inmates leaned out of the windows of their cells to watch her walk through the prison grounds, Sky News reports. Shouts of, "We need more funding. Tell them the truth," were also heard, as per the outlet.

The Princess of Wales, Kate, recently visited a mother and baby unit at a prison near Manchester. The unit at HMP Styal is run by Action for Children, a charity she supports as Royal patron.
