The playground of a San Francisco school was set on fire over the weekend, its second mysterious blaze in less than a month.

Two dogs died following a house fire that broke out in San Francisco's Noe Valley neighborhood early Monday morning, the Fire Department said.

An early morning fire forced the San Leandro BART station to close, damaging cable and train control equipment, and suspending train service between the Lake Merritt, Berryessa and Dublin stations.
