A $250,000 winning Powerball ticket sold in Michigan expired with no winner claiming it – so the money has been designated for the state's School Aid Fund. The Michigan Lottery made that announcement Tuesday,

LANSING, MI -- A restaurant in Van Buren County sold a Powerball ticket that won a $1 million prize in the drawing held on Saturday, March 1. The ticket matched all five white numbers drawn -- 2-23-36-44-49 --to win the prize. The ticket was purchased at Big T restaurant, located at 155 Main St. in Lawton.

Charmaine Tate, 51, bought a Lucky For Life ticket at a store in Canton, according to a March 12 news release from the Michigan Lottery. Her $10 ticket included five plays for $2 each. “I am an avid Lottery player and have always dreamed of winning a huge prize,” she told lottery officials.
