FDOT activated a Pedestrian Hybrid Beacon (PHB) that will improve safety and increase pedestrian mobility in the area by providing pedestrians with a new place to safely cross State Road 331.

The traffic flow on Fort Myers Beach, which has been less than optimal in 2025, should get better with this phase of an FDOT project completed.
