Francisco Lindor a tie-breaking sacrifice fly in the ninth inning and the visiting New York Mets earned a 3-2 victory over the New York Yankees on Saturday afternoon in to even the three-game Subway Series.

After listening to Yankees fans rail at Juan Soto for two days, New York Mets star Pete Alonso thought about the possibility of a Subway Series in October.

Cody Bellinger and Paul Goldschmidt, brought in as part of the Yankees’ pivot once Soto chose the Mets’ $765 million over their $760 million, combined for five hits, three runs and two RBIs to lead a patient offensive attack.
