Hurricane Melissa Relief: How New Orleans is supporting Jamaica through events and donations
The Jewish Federations of North America have launched a Hurricane Melissa Relief Fund to aid Jamaica and other Caribbean islands after Hurricane Melissa, the strongest hurricane ever recorded, swept through the Atlantic earlier this week, causing widespread destruction and devastation.
The NOLA Reggae Festival will pivot to present a Jamaica Benefit Dinner on Tuesday (Oct. 28) at Paradigm Gardens in Central City (1131 S. Rampart St.). Tickets are $100 and all-inclusive. One hundred percent of the proceeds are set for Jamaica hurricane relief.
