John Deere is recalling 25,000 lawn tractors due to a transmission issue that can lead to a crash. The recall includes John Deere model D105 lawn tractors with serial numbers beginning with 1GXD105.

WASHINGTON D.C. — John Deere is recalling about 25,000 tractors and 500 service part transmissions due to a potential crash hazard, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

This recall is for John Deere models X710, X730,X734,X738 and X739 lawn and garden tractors with serial numbers beginning with 1M0X. Model numbers can be found on both sides of the engine hood.

The tractors, manufactured in the U.S., were sold at John Deere dealers nationwide and online at John Deere.com from April 2022 through May 2022 for between $5,000 and $6,300.
