Plug a phone cord into your XFINITY Internet/Voice modem. Connect the other end of the cord to the telephone port labeled "IN" or "LINE IN" on your fax machine.

Connect your fax machine's phone cable to one port on the line-sharing device, connect the telephone's cable to another port and connect your computer's modem to a third port on the device.
