Google has launched version 2.2 of their cross-platform Flutter SDK and shared the framework’s incredible recent growth.

Last year, however, Google introduced its own solution called Flutter. First revealed at I/O, Flutter is an open-source toolkit that lets devs create native apps for both platforms quickly and easily.

The APIs provide hooks that make it possible for Web applications to expose their functionality through Google’s user interface on the Google Drive website.

Google has released version 2.8 of its popular programming language Dart along with version 1.7 of Flutter, its UI framework for building iOS, Android, Fuchsia, and desktop apps.

With Flutter, app developers will finally be able to create apps for both Android and iOS with one single set of code. This will hopefully cut down on Android fragmentation.
