It’s not clear to me that … anyone who’s reasonably looking at the attack on the federal workforce, the attack on the federal government and the attack on hard-working American taxpayers, that this so-called DOGE effort is anything other than a part of the scheme to reward billionaire donors and wealthy corporations and to make hard-working American taxpayers pay for it and suffer the pain.

The letter to the White House chief of staff and counsel notes that some of billionaire Elon Musk’s actions via DOGE “may be illegal or unconstitutional.”
