A coastal storm is expected on Sunday, but major uncertainty remains leaving snowfall totals in question.

A major winter storm is forecast to bring severe thunderstorms, potential tornadoes, and a cold front to the Mid-Atlantic, including the Shenandoah Valley.

Storm Team4 is tracking snow chances today into overnight and have the 10-day forecast for D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.

A springlike surge could send DC temperatures near 80 Tuesday, threatening a daily heat record and running about 30 degrees above normal.

After days of clouds and fog, temperatures climb into the 60s Saturday and surge into the 70s Sunday as spring edges closer.
