The Southern California Trojans hosted the Michigan Wolverines in a Week 7 college football game. Check out the scores, updates and highlights here:
The Hurricanes took down the Seminoles 28-22 in Tallahassee, completing an in-state sweep with wins over South Florida and Florida as well. Carson Beck threw for 241 yards and four touchdowns, while CJ Daniels hauled in five passes for 78 yards and two scores to lead Miami’s offense.
Clemson beat UNC and coach Bill Belichick — who coached with the NFL's New England Patriots for 24 seasons and won six Super Bowls — 38-10 in Week 7. The Tigers will face the Eagles and coach Bill O'Brien, who spent six seasons with the Patriots and Belichick, looking to be at .500 for the first time since beating Troy in Week 2.
None of those upsets were more stunning than previously winless UCLA's 42-37 victory over No. 7 Penn State. The Bruins became the first team since 1985 to beat a top-10 opponent while boasting a record of 0-4 or worse. It also snapped Penn State's 34-game winning streak against unranked opponents, a new low in the James Franklin era.
Oklahoma takes over with a 3-0 lead with solid field position at its own 46-yard line. Oklahoma's opening drive stalls out in Texas territory, but the Sooners take a 3-0 lead on a 42-yard field goal by Tate Sandell. Mateer was 3 of 5 passing for 45 yards on the drive.
A 20-minute highlight video, produced by Penn State’s After the Whistle crew, also looks closer at Friday night’s games.
