Modern Warfare 2 built on it, spectacularly, and for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation era, Call of Duty became almost synonymous with gaming outside the core.

Even though it’s just the campaign, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered is a healthy dose of nostalgia. It doesn’t just hit because you’re transported back to the good ol’ days.

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered costs £19.99 in the UK, which seems a bit much for a mode that doesn’t last much longer than six hours, but there you go.

UPDATE ONE: Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered has gone LIVE now as a standalone product in the Xbox Games Store today. It costs £34.99 and the Variety Map Pack is also available for £11.59.

Despite the rumors, Activision has continued to support Call of Duty:Modern Warfare Remastered with patches, new maps and updates, with the latest one hitting last month.

A separate rumour is also doing the rounds that suggests Activision may bundle the new game with another. Two COD games could release in 2018, that of Call of Duty Black Ops 4, and MW2 Remastered.

The Legacy Edition of the game will include Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, which will include the campaign and 10 multiplayer maps, as was rumored last week.
