For more than three decades, the four men and their families had insisted they were innocent of one of Austin’s most gruesome and notorious crimes: the 1991 rape and murder of four teenage girls at a yogurt shop that was set on fire.

The original suspects in Austin’s infamous yogurt shop murders case and their families can look ahead to possible restitution and reform after a judge signed orders clearing their names.

Last September, Austin police declared that they believed they had solved the case, identifying Brashers as the only suspect.
