United Airlines Flight 1382, an Airbus A320, aborted its takeoff from the George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) in Houston, Texas, due to a “reported engine issue” just after 8:30 a.m., the FAA said in a statement as quoted by the newspaper.

Passengers spotted smoke billowing from the wing of the plane and were immediately whipped into a frenzy, with footage showing them pointing at the fire and screaming ‘get us ou
