Less than two weeks after Freida McFadden's " The Housemaid " hit theaters, a sequel for the movie has been confirmed, according to a Jan. 6 press release from Lionsgate.

A sequel to 'The Housemaid' is now in development that could see Sydney Sweeney return to the franchise.

Plus, Sydney—who also serves as an executive producer on the movie and its upcoming sequel—described the process of bringing The Housemaid to the big screen as “more exciting than anything.”
