Wolves are in the market for a new left-back after selling Rayan Ait-Nouri to Pep Guardiola's Manchester City.

Manchester City completed the signing of left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri from Wolves on Monday for a reported £31 million ($42 million).Ait-Nouri is expected to be just one of a trio of new City faces for that tournament with deals close to completion for AC Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders and Lyon playmaker Rayan Cherki.

Rayan Ait-Nouri will become the first specialist left-back at Manchester City since Joao Cancelo and now has the opportunity to further develop his undoubted talent. The Algeria international has signed a five-year contract at the Etihad Stadium after the clubs agreed a deal worth £35 million.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are now set to say goodbye to Rayan Ait-Nouri as Manchester City are reportedly closing in £33.7m deal to sign the player.The Algerian defender has been with Wolves since 2020,

Rayan Cherki has said that his future will be decided after France’s Nations League third place play-off against Germany. Cherki is expected to leave Lyon this summer with a move to Manchester City reportedly at an advanced stage despite whispers of Liverpool potentially hijacking a move.
