Tech billionaire Elon Musk must face a lawsuit over allegations that his political action committee committed fraud by telling voters they had a chance to randomly win $1 million despite the winners being predetermined.

Elon Musk’s social media company X has reached a settlement with former employees who sued for $500 million in severance pay after mass layoffs in 2022.

In October 2022, Elon Musk officially took over X and moved quickly to lay off over 70 percent of the workforce. Former staffers subsequently filed a lawsuit claiming they received only a month of severance pay or, in some cases, no severance at all.
