After bringing Carson Wentz in on a tryout over the weekend, Minnesota signed the veteran QB on Sunday and subsequently traded backup Sam Howell to the Eagles. Philadelphia also received a 2026 sixth-round pick in exchange for a 2026 fifth-rounder and a 2027 seventh.

Wentz, who spent last season backing up Patrick Mahomes in Kansas City, was the No. 2 overall pick by the Eagles in 2016.
