Hi Peter, both times I’ve been there, the same happens. You need to meet in their shop on Shotover st and get weighed, checked in. They then have to mini bus you up as it’s a little way in off the road into the canyon. They normally can take approx 2.5hrs depending on group sizes and how many jumps being done, as if there is time, some people buy extra jumps on the spot. I only did the Flying Fox...We were back to Queenstown within 2 hours. The group I was with was only 4 people so there was very little waiting. If there is a larger group then it would be longer. I would think that if you were to do the canyon swing, it would take roughly another 2 hours. Try to book it in the morning if you could would be my suggestion.

Hi there, One of the young men carried a GoPro when he was on the swing but it has to be securely fasted to you. I think he held the stick and had it strapped to his wrist? (He wanted to video his face on the way down as he chose to do a back flip off the platform). There are people in the river below so you can't drop anything.
