Beautiful square in the process of restoration. When we went all the museums were shut and the central garden was being worked on, but you could walk on the rooftop terraces.Full review by James O

Hello, the museums as well as the Zwinger are open on Friday. The only day that the museums are closed is on Monday, regardless of it being a holiday or not. The opening hours can be found on the websites of Dresden as well as the Dresden museums. The Zwinger opens at 06:00a.m. every day of the week.
Q:
Thanks for the info on public parking. Is it free parking?
A:
There's a big paying parking lot less than 10 min walk from Zwinger, near the Neumarkt. It is paying in coins, so have them with you. Dresden city center is small, easy covered on foot.
Q:
Is entrance to the compound where the fountains are free?
A:
There no charge for seeing the place from outside, unless you want to see the inside or exhibitions.
