It's mostly some cobblestones and sidewalks. I went into the craft market and locked at an intriguing set of kitchen tools which the vendor puffed as being locally made and sourced (she's got to make a living) but someone had left the made in India tag on there. It's mostly overpriced t shirts, towels and the usual port crap overpriced diamonds.

Is there a beach within walking distance from the port? And is it safe to go?
A:
NO...Based upon recent events there last year we stay in the port area. Be careful. If you venture out we strongly suggest you go with the cruise ship tour.

well, outside the port I did see shops selling just about basics but not sure about liquor. Inside the port the must be places. I did not look for shops that sold liquor.

Hi, it's about a 15 minute walk from the cruise terminal. As you come out the cruise terminal turn right and follow the road past the main town hall/court house and the school is on the right. You can hire a guide outside the port who will give you a walking tour of Falmouth taking in the historical sites and the school.
