Brookside Gardens is Montgomery County’s incomparable, award-winning 50-acre public display garden situated within Wheaton Regional Park. Included in the gardens are several distinct areas: Aquatic Garden, Azalea Garden, Butterfly Garden, Children’s Garden, Rose Garden, Japanese Style Garden, Trial Garden, Rain Garden, and the Woodland Walk. The Formal Gardens areas include a Perennial Garden, Yew Garden, the Maple Terrace, and Fragrance Garden. Brookside Gardens also feature two conservatories for year-round enjoyment. A horticultural reference library is located in the airy Visitors Center. Admission to the gardens is free.

how much is the admission fee for butterfly exhibit?

It was $8 for adults and $5 for three and up. Very nice exhibit.

Not sure but there is a park next to the gardens that you can use for a picnic.

It's April the 4th - are the tulips blooming?
A:
Hi-yes some are in bloom but word from the Gardner in charge of the tulips is peak bloom will be between Easter and Mother's Day. Hope you're here to Enjoy!

Will there be a lot of butterflies to see in late June in your butterfly exhibit, or does it vary from week to week?
A:
Butterflies are enclosed in a greenhouse so there are hundreds. There are also butterflies in the gardens but not so many.
